It’s hard to turn around at this time of year without seeing a pumpkin or something Halloween related! But there are so many other dates that you can use for inspiration for your October content and newsletters.
As well as being Black History Month and Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the following dates also occur in October:
Share a story about why you need your coffee first thing in the morning and how you can’t possibly function without it!
Do you have a story to tell about giving up alcohol? Or maybe you could share your favourite mocktail recipe? Or explain why you might be doing #GoSoberForOctober.
Is there a teacher who inspired you when you were younger? Or one of your children’s teachers who went above and beyond? Let your subscribers know why you appreciate these teachers.
Do you have an offer that will put a smile on your subscribers faces? Today would be a great day to announce it
This should be a reminder for us all to take the time we need to look after our own mental health. Provide links to online resources that support mental health or share a resource that you found useful in the past.
Share the story of a client who ‘kicked butt’ after working with you. What was the transformation?
Paired with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, today is another opportunity to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research and early detection.
If you are in the business of organising you could share a checklist of things that people should do to clean up their desktops. Or if people can outsource certain tasks to you, let them know what and how!
Enlighten your subscribers on interesting statistics related to your industry.
Where would we be without the magical World Wide Web? You could hold a limited time, online-only flash sale.
Pick a catchy subject line and try to tie in your offers with a spooky theme… e.g. To-Do list giving you nightmares? or Little monsters need entertained this mid-term?
