I have always loved the month of September, so I’m excited to share some September content ideas with you this month!
Although I wasn’t the biggest fan of school, I always loved getting back after the summer holidays to see my friends and hear all about their summer holidays. Let’s not even get into what an amazing month it was if you were a complete stationery addict – new planners, pencil cases, ring binders – with the obligatory poster of the hottest boy band stuck to them… now those were the days!
Then during the uni days, it was the month where we’d move into our new (normally pretty icky) student house and plan all the nights out and parties we would have that year… lectures came second place to the social calendar naturally!
And now, as a mum it’s all about getting the kids (and myself) back into a routine! Oh how times have changed!!
But who knew that, other than the obvious ‘Back to School’ and Autumn themes, there are so many cool dates that you can use to inspire your content for the month of September… here are just a few:
Are you the person who is always late? If so, relate a funny story about it and remind subscribers it’s okay to re-prioritise when something gets in the way!
Let your subscribers know about a book that you have enjoyed recently and what your biggest takeaways were. If you have written your own book, let people know why they should read it.
Do you have a story about any of your grandparents that would inspire your audience? Maybe they were an inspiration for you starting your own business?
Celebrate your achievements and give a virtual high-5 to subscribers for supporting you along the way in the form of a freebie or offer. Or use the opportunity to share a client’s success story (with their permission of course!)
Does your business involve cooking or nutrition? Share some easy recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks that parents can give their kids to allow them to take over the kitchen for the day.
Do you have an online course? Run a flash sale for 24 hours and let your subscribers know how completing your course will benefit them.
It’s a time to encourage kids to swap devices for creating something with their own hands or imaginations! If your product or service is aimed at children, you could offer printable activities, run a challenge this week or send a tip a day to help parents keep their children entertained.
Share 5 things that you are grateful for. Or show appreciation to subscribers by offering them an exclusive discount or a freebie.
This marks the end of summer and the first day of falling leaves, warmer clothes and cosy nights in! Share your favourite things about autumn and why your product or service will help your audience through the season.
Share the story of how you made a dream come true… whether business-related or otherwise. Encourage subscribers to take action today and set their dreams into motion.
Share a story to celebrate your daughter or your favourite moment as a daughter yourself.
Shamelessly promote your podcast if you have one! Or share your favourite podcasts that you listen to regularly and explain why you love them.
Do you struggle for monthly content for your emails? This is something that I cover in my free masterclass – watch here.
Design a high-converting freebie that everyone wants and watch leads flow into your business all day every day!
